Pizza is one of my favorite meals because the options are endless – whether you’re changing up the crust, sauce, or topping combination. While I have plenty of favorite pizzerias, I also love making my own healthy pizza at home!

If you want to make your own healthy pizza, follow along with this video tutorial, or copy down the ingredients and directions listed below. I show you the 2 different topping combinations I like to use, but feel free to get creative and come up with your own!

 

Healthy Pizza Ingredients

For your base:

  • Brown Rice Tortillas (I use Food for Life brand)
  • Shredded mozzarella cheese

Pizza 1:

  • Basil Pesto
  • Sliced black olives
  • Diced red bell pepper
  • Seasoned grilled chicken (I season with salt and this Mexican blend)
  • Feta cheese crumbles

Pizza 2:

  • Marinara Sauce
  • Sliced black olives
  • Sliced pickled jalapenos
  • Seasoned grilled chicken

Optional: Serve with parmesan cheese, crushed red peppers, and additional marinara sauce for dipping.

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375ºF.
  2. Lightly season 3 chicken breasts with salt and Mexican blend seasoning and grill until fully cooked. Dice into small pieces.
  3. Prepare your pizzas by evenly applying selected sauce, sprinkling with mozzarella cheese, and adding all toppings, including the diced chicken.
  4. Place pizzas on a flat baking sheet (the darker your baking sheet, the crispier the pizzas will turn out).
  5. Cook pizzas in preheated oven for approximately 15-20 minutes, until desired crispiness is achieved (I cook mine for 20 minutes).
  6. Using a pizza cutter, slice pizza into desired number of pieces for serving.
  7. Sprinkle with parmesan cheese & crushed red pepper. Serve with additional marinara sauce on the side for dipping.
